Although you can buy fruit powder online, it’s easy to make fruit powder at home to preserve whatever fruit is in season.
Fruit powder: finely ground dried fruit
1/2 – 1 teaspoon arrowroot powder
– NOTE: It is helpful to freeze the dried fruit beforehand, for cleaner blending.
Dehydrated fruits can become somewhat sticky, due to it’s natural sugar content. Make sure your dried fruit is dried very well. Arrowroot powder is a healthy starch similar to cornstarch, an alternative to use if you have none. This powder is used to lessen clumping when blending.
Dump your dehydrated fruit and arrowroot into your blender.
Now turn your blender on Low, then slowly work your way up to High. Let it run until you end up with a fine powder.
Simple as that!
