McDonald’s French Fried Potatoes
Create your own at home McDonald’s fries
Prep time: 6 minutes Cook time: 2 minutes Serves: 3-4
Soybean oil (can substitute safflower oil)
¼ cup ice
½ cup unsalted beef stock (omit if Vegan, flavor will differ slightly)
¼ cup soy milk
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 26 oz bag of shoestring potatoes (you can use any kind of sliced potato but you will not have the authenticity)
Heat oil to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Combine ice, beef stock, soy milk and baking powder in a bowl, and mix until combined.
Place fries into the brine, and remove after a few seconds.
Put brined fries back into the freezer for five minutes.
Drop fries into oil, cook for 2 minutes, or until the reach your desired level of doneness
Remove and enjoy!
